Independent Contractor Relationship

The AEForce 1099 opportunity provides services as an independent contractor and is not an employee, partner, joint venturer, or agent of CMI2.

As an independent contractor, the individual 1099 contractor is not eligible for employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance, paid leave, or any other benefits offered to CMI2 employees.

The individual 1099 contractor is responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes related to compensation received under this agreement, including income, self-employment, Social Security, and Medicare taxes.

The individual 1099 contractor is also responsible for maintaining any licenses, certifications, permits, insurance, and professional qualifications required to perform the services. Unless CMI2 specifically provides support for a particular event or activity, the AEForce individual 1099 contractor is responsible for supplying and maintaining all equipment, tools, transportation, communication devices, and other resources needed to perform the work.
